Under 12 Indoor League Update

In the first week Gresford met Pontblyddyn. Bowling first, Gresford were sharp and bowled good lines taking 5 wickets on their way to restricting Pont. In reply, Gresford batted with good control to come out victors. Henry Soper the standout bowler with Jack Cooper in good form with the bat. In the second week Gresford won by virtue of conceding the game. However, a game was still played with Gwersyllt fielding 2 older players. Gresford, again, performed well with the ball, bowling good lengths. Gwersyllt batted well and reached 270. Replying and Gresford lost a clatter of wickets, 4 run outs and a few clean bowleds. Clearer heads and more thoughtful batted needed for next time. In the 3rd game, Gresford narrowly beat Brymbo. The bowling for the third week was the strength, and but for a few wides was an excellent display. Ryan Mcarthy bowled partucularly well and deserved his wicket. Brymbo reached 240 and Gresford managed 245 in reply. Shot selection was better than last week and fewer wickets were lost. Next week is a bye week and the week after we face 2012 outdoor champions Llay.
