Everyone at Gresford Cricket Club - Players, Family / Friends and Supporters
By the end of 2012 the ladies cricket fundraising team want to raise at least £2,500. We think that this is achievable but only with ALL OF YOUR HELP.
With the amount of talent we have at Gresford Cricket Club we know that it is only a matter of time before Gresford 1st Team get promotion! Once we get there we know that we will need covers and also a new electronic scoreboard to name just two items. We can't always get grants so as a club we have to remain pro-active and keep up with the fundraising this is essential!
The plan is to raise around £1000 at the Ball and we intend to do two Bag Packing Events which hopefully will raise £1,500.
Please will you all read the information below and if you can assist anywhere just contact one of us at Gresford Cricket Club or speak to John Bell.
GRESFORD CRICKET CLUB BALL - Saturday 15th September 2012
Venue: Wrexham Golf Club

When you have paid for your tickets Lynda and Denise will get your meal requirements from you.
* If you have NOT requested tickets please contact Lynda Baker 865541 or Denise Murdoch 07739 610210 ASAP.
* If you know anyone who may be interested in coming to this event the tickets cost £25 for a three course meal and disco - please ask your family and friends. Remember the Youth Players can attend - so if you want to
bring your son or daughter with you this is not a problem.
* We will be having a small raffle on the night so if you know of anyone who might donate a small raffle prize please let us know.
OFFICIAL OPENING OF NETS BY ECB & CRICKET MATCHES - Sunday 2nd September
Please do not forget the above event we would like as many players, family and friends to attend this event as possible:
* We are asking people to arrive about 1pm.
* A mixed under 13/15's Youth Team are going to have a match against their Dads & friends of the Club.
* The Ladies will be joining in with a game. - Flinty Memorial Match - See John Bell for details.
* CATERING FOR THIS EVENT. We are suggesting that everyone brings "a plate" or something to this event. Denise Murdoch will co-ordinate this 07739 610210 if you call her to let her know what you are bringing
then we should have a wide selection of food suitable for everyone.
* If it rains please still turn up as we are having the OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY - NEW CRICKET NETS we can then have a social get-together.
OLD CLOTHES, BEDDING, TOWELS, BAGS, SHOES, BELTS etc.
If anyone is sorting out at home and comes across any of the above please do not throw it away - Lynda Baker took some old clothes etc. to a local firm and we got £90 for the Cricket Club. If you have anything please deliver
to Lynda Baker or call her on 856641.
BAG PACKING
It is our intention to do another bag packing exercise at Asda and or Marks and Spencer at the end of the season. When I get confirmation of a date I will put it on the web site. At Asda we can raise a substantial amount of money. There are 17 tills which need to be manned from 10am until 4pm . Ideally we would like 34 people doing a 3 hour session each. This can be anyone from 9 years of age and upwards. Please ask family and friends if they will be willing to help us. More information to follow.
OTHER FUNDRAISING IDEAS
If anyone has any other ideas or would like to do some fundraising please speak with us or John Bell. We are also looking at Match Funding so if anyone can assist with this - for example Barlcays Bank have match funding up to £750 if you know anyone who works at the bank they have to been involved with the fund-raising event . Not sure if any other banks are offering anything. All ideas are really welcomed.
Thanks for your continued support
Linda, Lynda and Denise
