At Gresford the seconds were entertaining league leaders Carmel. At 23 for 4 things looked bleak for the home side. However Ian Weaver`s excellent 85 with good support from George Morris (15), Manishe (26) and stand in skipper James Williams (15) allowed Gresford to set 177 for 9. Carmel`s reply started with Fraser Murdoch bowling their opening bat first ball!! However, the remaining bats managed to take Carmel to a 2 wicket win with James` bowling offering the only real challenge to the away side (he finished with 4 for 39 off 12 overs). |
