| Match Report | This year the Ladies match and the Phil Formstone Memorial match took place on the same afternoon (28th Aug). These two 20/20 matches were watched by a large and appreciative crowd. The first game between two teams of Ladies was a competitive affair with both batting and fielding improved on last year. The bowling however still needs some work...side on please. Denise M dominated the wicket taking.....her victims all under 10! (i`m sure they will recover from the trauma). The second match of paired cricket was also an entertaining affair with some particularly competitive elements.....dad vs son encounters between the Macloskys (dad won), Thompsons and Mullochs were worth watching! The Gresford Belles and friends would like to thank everyone for coming along and supporting the both matches on Sunday and making the day so enjoyable. The Belles had a fantastic day and with the help of others managed to raise over £300. Thank you again for all your support. Equally GCC recognises the huge support given by all the mums, wives, sisters, girlfriends to all elements of the club. A really good day for all. |
