Gresford Under 11's Vs Chirk

Gresford under 11's finally beat the weather and completed their first game of the season. This was the first hard ball game for a lot of the players for Gresford and all players gave a good account of themselves. On a slow, low astroturf Gresford batted carefully - opening pair Iwan and Louis adding 12 runs for the loss of 0 wickets. The Highlight in the Batting was young Wes Evans who scored 17 runs. Gresford finished on 227.

In reply, Chirk managed to get 260. Wes picking up the only wicket, but notable mentions for Ben and Thomas D who both bowled economically. A good effort, moving forward we need to quicker between the wickets as well as bowling fewer wides.
