GCC U13 Vs Malpas U13 - 16th May 2013

After the fielding display of the first week this match called for the performance to go up a level.  Although the opposition finished their 20 overs on 90 runs the team put in a much improved performance after working hard on fielding in practice.  Eleven bowlers were used: Ryan Williams 0-8, Henry Soper 1-6, Tomos Roberts 0-5, Sam Thompson 0-10, Jack Cooper 0-11, Ryan McCarthy 0-12, Tomos Williams 0-5, Zac Dobie 0-10, Scott Hodgeson 1-14, Joe Rees-Slawson 0-1 and Dan Parry finishing the twenty overs with a maiden.  The extras column seemed to drag us back this week so still work to do.

Sam Thompson looked in good form and started the run chase with partner at the crease Zac Dobie.  Both retired undefeated on 33 and 30 respectively.  Ryan Williams finished on six and was caught trying to finish the match in double quick time!  Dan Parry made a brief walk to the crease, but fell to a good ball.  Tomos Roberts and Scott Hodgeson saw the Gresford safely over the line in the sixteenth over.
