| Match Report | A game that could easily have been called off...for the wind if not the rain! Well done to Pwll for their efforts on the day. Opting to bat, initially stand in skipper started well (out for 20 to a good catch), Gaz B reached 14...these two were the only ones in double figs apart from Chris E who finished on 41 not out. He rightly felt let down by the rest of our batting. The bowlers and fielders let nobody down, with rain threatening, the wind a gale wks fell regularly. We went off after 20 overs, came back for a game reduced to 42 overs and Pwll`s target of 99. The got 81....wks for all four bowlers. Good win.........especially when you think who was missing and skipper Danny W unable to play (really ill..we wish him well). Special thanks to young Wes E, who holidaying in nearby Llanbedrog came in as our 11th man. His fielding certainly contributed to our win. |
