| Match Report | Where to start. A game that had everything. It started as the hottest day of the year, we then played for an hour in drizzle and darkness, we lost an umpire midway through the first innings (we all hope Huw is recovered) and the game was won by us by just one run We batted first..thankfully... and although quite a few bats got starts only Danny (51) and Matty C (41) got sizeable scores. Denbigh`s bowling and particularly their fielding was very good. In reply and in increasingly wet conditions our bowlers started well but good late order stands by Denbigh ensured a tight finish. Who better than Bunks to bowl the last over, they need 4 to win with 1 wk left. Dot, single, single bowled middle stump. Bunks set off Tahir like. We one by 1 run. Brilliant. |
