| Match Report | The U15`s travelled to the Gladstone Playing Fields in Hawarden not really knowing who was going to turn up (NE Wales U14`s in Manchester with 6 G`ford players and King`s also playing)..well done to all parents who managed to get them there! The Filer brothers opened with 12 year Xan the dominant partner initially going on to a well made 17 on his debut for the U15`s (maybe unlucky to be given out?) Luke then went on to make a good 35 (run out!) . Another debtutant..Zak Dobie.(20no), together with `veteran` Mark Breese (run out for 32) then took the score to129 for 3....a good score on a slow outfield. The bowlers then took over ...HP 27 for 9 off 20 overs. U13 team mates Ryan Williams and Jack Cooper with combined figures of 5 overs 3 mdns, 5 runs and 1 wk deserve a special mention. Simon Bent and Chris Mullock both failed with their hatrick balls amd Tom (EDWARD) Webb finished with 3 wks for 2 runs (And what can i say about George Thompson keeping......?) |
