BACK TO THE MATCH: Players on a school trip, crash on motorway held them up, delayed start, rain expected, this was the game that was eagerly anticipated, but all sorts of problems unfortunately hit the Pont side.  Pont bravely decided to bat first, but the Gresford bowlers soon found the target.  The 'mighty' Quinn opened up with Matty Thompson and then Xan Filer and Henry Soper carried on.  The opposition found themselves four wickets down with only two runs scored off the bat.  Sam Postle, Will Roberts, Tomos Roberts, Ryan Williams and Sam Thompson completed the bowling attack and Pont ended on 82-5 off their 20 overs.  Not until the 17th over did Pont's big guns arrive and accelerated the score to a competitive total.  Nobody scored more that the EXTRAS column (33) with wides featuring all too often, work to do here boys!!!!

GCC set about the run chase with an excellent batting display, with Matt (23) and Sam Thompson (30*) looking in great touch.  Will Roberts then continued in the same vein and Xan was in no mood to hang around with three fours in a super quick innings of 14 to see the victory secured. (GCC 84-2 after fifteen overs)
