The Gresford spirit carried on increasing as Rhys Evans took to his bowling like a duck to water furthering Gresfords wicket tally to 3 in his two overs. All the bowlers seemed to have turned up with their bowling caps on as James added another 2 wickets to the growing list with his accurate overs. Charlie's impressive line and length saw another 2 wixkets fall in his overs. Gresford were off to a flyer and there was more to come. Jenson added yes another wicket in his first over and bowler a madian in his second. Figures the senior players would be happy with. Matt Burman in his first game found his rythem sending the ball bowl to the batsman with speed. Helping the Gresford side keep the runs to a minimum. Louie Adamson's two overs mimicked what had gone before very tight bowling lines giving the batsman no room for error. Hector bowled dot ball after dot ball frustrating the Chirk batsman as they were unable to get the ball off the square. Last but not least Harry Williams another debutant for GCC, although you wouldn't have been able to tell taking a wicket in his first ever over. Like that Gresford' s bowling spell was over. Some great fielding and catches by the team helped keep the visitors to a low score of 210. The hard work was done, pressure still on though as the teams switched roles. First to the crease James and Harry Williams. The pair helped the team to within 4 of the total posted by Chirk with some sensible batting. James showing his experience finding the gaps and using his drives timing them to perfection. Matthew was on fire firing the ball over the boundary line on two occasions and adding further runs between the wickets. Charlie joined in the fun whacking the ball into the outfield using his speed to run fast 1s and 2s. Louie Adamson also had his say with the duo coming in and piercing the Chirk side again and again scoring 9 runs. 3rd out Jenson and Rhys.
