| Match Report | In a game that (for different reasons) both teams needed to win, the visitors, having won the toss asked us to bat. At 20 for 2 it looked like a good decision. Then a brilliant partnership betweem Sam T (81...his first 50 in senior cricket and highest score ever) and Chris E (84) ensued. After a mini middle order collapse a rapid 43no for Gareth B helped the home side to 265 for 8. Chris E got the dangerous Kelshall out in bizarre fashion..stumped from 15yds back by knowlsey...one of 6 victims on the day. John B was the main wk taker with 5 for 24 off 12. The win ensures Prem League cricket next year with two games to go. Well done Chris E! |
