| Match Report | With last weeks first three bats Chris` decision was thought brave by some.....batting first proved to be the right decision. Danny W got us off to a positive start, but it was Sam T who gave solidity to the top order with a well made 31. Later it was Sean R (31) who gave real impetus to our innings. However, the skippers innings of 117 was simply brilliant. 229 for 7 proved to be a more than competitive score. SP with 4 and JBe with 3 were the main wicket takers, but special mention to Ryan (who bowled opener Lyell) and to Dex who took the first and last wk for G. This game might well prove to be his last as a hip injury has forced his early return home. In the short time he has been with us he has made lots of friends and has had a most positive impact on the club. We wish him well. |
