Gresford 1st XI Vs Conwy I

After the incredibly difficult week that Conwy have had a good game was what was needed...and that is what we had particularly when you consider the amount of water on the ground on Fri/Sat. Ironically had the game remained at Conwy on Sat the game would not have started. New hosts G`ford were asked to bat, their innings dominated by an excellent knock of 81 from Matty Cree. A flurry of late wks meant a declaration at 184 for 9 off 44 overs.

The hoped for early wks failed to materialise in the Conwy innings, it was only when Perry & Bell (J) were brought on....runs stopped at one end Bell (1 for 15 off 13 overs) and wks started to fall at the other (perry 4 for 45 off 13) :Late runs gave Conwy a sniff of win but they finished 6 runs short at 178 for 6 off 55 overs.
