The target set low but Gresford still needed to maintain their concentration. The task set for the team loose minimal wickets and play your shots. The partnership of Morgan Ciaran and Ranija was first to the wicket. Morgan despite injury played a nice innings, with not a lot of balls to hit, Morgan seized his chances where possible. Ciaran batting the 4 overs looked solid tapping the ball around with ease taking advantage of the wide spread of fielders. Ranija was ready for action and played some shots to back up his confidence topping his innings off with a cracking 4. The innings was set up for their team mate’s credit to the 3 musketeers scoring 35 runs from their 4 overs.  Ruben and Luke took to the crease next, again the bowling didn’t allow for much batting to take place, but when the ball was on the stumps the pair took their chances. Luke got himself forward to the ball connecting with some great drives, and Ruben used his hand eye co-ordination and height to send the ball into the outfield. The pair took the team to 58 runs. Matty and Freddie strolled into bat next, the pair batted well, with minimal wides the duo had to use their batting skills to score. Matty finished on an impressive 13 runs, showing some good technique when playing the ball. Freddie wasn’t far behind scoring 10 runs, watching the ball onto his bat he made sure of good connection. The score at the end of the pair’s innings 85 runs. To finish off proceedings skipper Wes and vice Rohan, Wesley scored a top notch 25 runs, hitting 5 fours all of which placed with care. Rohan didn’t want to keep quiet either 2 fours from him saw his score reach 12 runs. Impressive batting and great running and awareness from the pair saw Gresford finish on 328 runs.   After a brief team talk from Wesley communicating to team mates his joy with their performance, the much waiting player of the match was awarded. On the receiving end this week Luke showing great ability with the ball placing it in great areas and some intelligent batting. Well done to everyone this week
