| Match Report | Three games vs Brymbo this season, 3 wins! On an uncharacteristic B wk the home side were asked to bat. Jack Coop`s struck with 3 quick wks with SP, JB and CE sharing the rest. Sam T was the unlucky bowler ...no wks but bowled well (one of the three spinners who bowled 30 of the 45 overs bowled!). With Chris E and opener Henry M both etting 30+`s an easy win looked the most likely of reults but with the fall of their wks a slight panic ensued. It was left to Gareth B to see G home with a well made 32 (an innings reminiscent of Gordon Greenidge....for our older readers. Possibly our best win of the seson when you consider that 4 or 5 first team regulars were missing, incl 3 0f the top 5 bats. Champagne moment.....Henry Makings run out of B`s opener....but not for the actual runout! |
