| Match Report | Our first home game in the Prem Division and our first win.....and what a win against the reigning league champs. Batting first, Alex Ellwood`s (71) and Matty Cree`s (48) excellent first wk stand of 103 plus Danny Williams (26) 60+ partnership with AE set up the total of 206 for 7. What followed was remarkable with all the bowlers doing their job....Simon Perry and John Bell being the main wk takers with four each. Special mention to the Cree`s, James behind the stumps with 4 dismissals (2 ct, 2 stumped) and Matt with 2 catches....the first diving catch one the best seen at G`ford for a long time! Brilliant day....and MB stayed in the YT afterwards (like old times..for those who remember them!) |
