Gresford Under 15's Vs Northop

GCC U15 v Northop U15 - 15th June 2011

The visitors soon under pressure batting first with the first and second wicket falling to the bowling of Jack Powell for 3 and 2 respectively.  Cooper 's' showed his class with a fine bowling display with two wickets in two balls.  James Austin put in an all round bionic performance with the ball and the bat.  H Morris topped the innings off taking the seventh Northup scalp. Skipper Fras, Sam Jones and 'Breezy' added to the bowling attack leaving Northup with 91 off 20 overs.  Only 12 freebies in the extras column, hope your reading this U13's!!!!!

Oh those cakes Mrs B!! a quick interval and a block booking at Weight Watchers rehab later time to waddle out to the middle. George Thompson fresh from his music exam played the tune perfectly with Sam Jones at the other end, they made steady progress.  James Austin continued his rich vein of form with the bat and pinged off five boundaries, which included two big sixes in his 32 n/o retired.  The skipper, Jack Powell, Mully and Breezy, who was actually spotted peering out from under his hair and playing a straight batted shot! saw the game out with a Gresford win with two overs to spare.
